SUMMARY:Composting- Making it Fun!
DESCRIPTION:Karin Mills and Linda Bourne\, members of the Earth Ministries Team at Binkley Baptist Church will be the presenters. Karin and Linda conceived and implemented the ‘triple stream’ collection system to recycle\, compost\, and landfill properly all things disposed of at Binkley. The collected materials are commercially composted. By doing so they diverted over 10 tons from the local landfill in less than one year\, beginning in 2018 and are on track to greatly exceed that number for 2019. They have developed guidelines and met with all users of Binkley church to help the many groups that use those facilities to use the collection system properly. We look forward to hear about and learn from their successes! \nFollowing their presentation\, we will have break-out sessions to launch our six action teams. A document with the action team descriptions is attached. Please consider contributing your time and talents to an action team!
