SUMMARY:Vermicomposting: The Wonders of Worms
DESCRIPTION:Join us as Muriel Williman from Orange County Solid Waste Management sets up the Hub Farm’s first vermicomposting system! Muriel will use one of her own indoor vermicomposting bins to demonstrate the care\, feeding and maintenance of such a system. She will also demonstrate how to harvest the rich worm castings\, and split the worm population to make a new vermicomposting bin. This workshop will feature how to incorporate compost into soil for gardens\, or a potting mix\, as well as the basics of outdoor composting\, using the Hub Farm’s “home-made” pallet composting system for demonstration.\n\n$10 general admission.
