The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) is a farmer-driven, membership-based non-profit organization that helps people in the Carolinas grow and eat local, organic foods by advocating for fair farm and food policies, building the systems family farms need to thrive, and educating communities about local, organic agriculture.
The Carolina Recycling Association is a nonprofit organization established and maintained by a community of people – multi-national corporations, small businesses, local government, state government agencies, and individuals across the Carolinas who are committed to waste reduction and recycling efforts. With over 300 member organizations (over 800 individuals), the CRA is ever growing and changing to benefit our members and the recycling industry. The mission of the Carolina Recycling Association is to conserve resources by advancing recycling and waste reduction throughout the Carolinas.
The primary functions of the North Carolina Green Industry Council are to unite all green industry associations and constituents under one umbrella organization whose responsibility it is to represent and protect the interests of our members regarding local, state and federal legislation, to promote the value of green industry products and services directly to the consumer and to represent the green industry as an advocate and leader of environmental stewardship.

The North Carolina Conservation Network is a statewide network of nearly 100 environmental, community and environmental justice organizations focused on protecting North Carolina’s environment and public health. The NC Conservation Network supports, trains, and coordinates diverse groups and directly advocates to achieve equitable and sustainable solutions for our environment.
NC State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences serves the needs of North Carolina through teaching, research, extension and international programs – helping citizens benefit from what we discover, develop and extend into the communities and fields across our state, our nation and the world. Through ever-expanding partnerships with state, federal, local governments and agencies, agricultural organizations and industry leaders, we are doing big things to shape the future of agriculture and the life sciences.
The Turfgrass Council of North Carolina was created in 1974 as a non-profit organization with the prime directive of promoting the turfgrass industry in North Carolina. We encourage further study and research of turf grasses, analyze and disseminate information relating thereto and to represent a voice in matters for the turfgrass industry. Additionally, the Council was created to enhance the knowledge concerning turf for athletic fields, cemeteries, golf courses, lawns, parks, playgrounds, roadsides and any other turfgrass areas.
Established in 1990, the US Composting Council (USCC) is the only national organization in the United States dedicated to the development, expansion and promotion of the composting industry. The USCC achieves this mission by encouraging, supporting and performing compost related research, promoting best management practices, establishing standards, educating professionals and the public about the benefits of composting and compost utilization, enhancing compost product quality, and developing training materials for compost manufacturers and markets for compost products. USCC members include compost manufacturers, compost marketers, equipment manufacturers, product suppliers, academic institutions, public agencies, nonprofit groups and consulting/engineering firms.
