Let’s Talk… Why You Should Compost
North Carolina Composting Council aims to make composting accessible to all. When tabling at events, volunteers from the Education and Outreach Committee (EOC) strive to provide information how to start and troubleshoot composting. You may have heard already about HOW to compost – join Keep Durham Beautiful and the EOC Chair for a conversation about WHY you should compost! Learn about the connections between soil degradation, food waste, and greenhouse gases/climate change; and how to responsibly dispose of your food waste if you live where backyard composting isn’t an option.
