The NC Composting Council (NCCC) is proud to be a NC Plant Sciences Initiative Supporter & Commodity Leader! The NC Plant Sciences Initiative was first supported by over 30 NC commodity assocaions when the concept for the intiative was in its infancy. Commodity leaders are key stakeholders for the reearch that is conducted by the NC PSI interdisciplinary teams. The NC Plant Sciences Building is a part of the Plant Sciences Initiative, providing a hub for NCSU’s research impact to spread throughout the state and world. The NCSU Plant Sciences Building opened 2 years ago, and NCCC’s Annual Meeting attendees enjoyed a tour the state-of-the-art, 26′ tall roof-top greenhouses, and labs! 

The NC Composting Council’s 2024 Annual Meeting takes place June 18th from 11am-3pm at the NC State University Plant Sciences Building in Raleigh, NC. Participants will interact with two panels featuring NCCC’s Board of Directors and Representative from the NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ), Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service (NCDEACS).  NCCC’s 2024 Meeting will be an informative and engaging event that will foster collaboration in the composting community across the state. Learn about the NCCC’s work and grant recipients, and ‘How to Lobby’ with a presentation from NCCC’s Lobbyist Nick Wood, of Blue Heron Consulting and Lobbying.
