Sustainable Spirits: FoodCon & B Corps Happy Hour (Nov 2016)
NC State Net Impact is hosting the 3rd annual FoodCon on Friday, November 11 at NC State and we're kicking it off Thursday night November 10 at Loading Dock Raleigh! Join us as we partner with NC B Corps, Triangle Food Makers, and the NC Composting Council to celebrate local food makers who are using their businesses as a force for good! (and get some delicious treats and tasty beverages while we are at it!)

This training is for Composters, Landscapers, Contractors, Construction Workers, Groundskeepers, and anyone who works on or around front loaders. It will cover safety of personnel, site and machine; walk-around inspections; operator's compartment; startup/shut down procedures; basic operating procedures based on industry requirements; basic fundamentals so an individual can develop skills to operate equipment safely and proficiently; as well as preventative maintenance of equipment.

The North Carolina Composting Council and Wake Tech/Wells Fargo Center for Entrepreneurship invite you to the December 2016 Sustainable Spirits in Holly Springs! Sustainable Spirits is a casual monthly gathering for the sustainability community organized by the North Carolina Composting Council and other organizations. Starting on the Summer of 2013, we have rotated around the Triangle and the coast through different establishments creating a space for people to gather, meet each other, and engage in fun and meaningful conversations. It’s free, unstructured, and open to everyone interested in anything from renewable energy and civic engagement to green building, organic farming, and beyond!

2nd Annual Loader Safety and Maintenance Training
The NC Composting Council and the Caterpillar Global Training Team are teaming up to host this all-day training to learn how to operate and maintain small, compact, and skid steer loaders. This course is a comprehensive, cost effective method of ensuring that loader operators receive the training necessary to meet industry standards. Trainees receive in-depth instruction on the design and safe use of small wheel, compact, and skid steer loaders; including hands-on section and tour of the factory.
